Debra Winger is a sexy Hollywood actress born on May 16, 1955 in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. She grew up under a tight Jewish upbringing, and then spent several years in Israel to serve the Israel Defense Forces. When she returned to the United States, she met an automobile accident which resulted to cerebral hemorrhage which led her to be partially paralyzed and blind for about ten months. The doctors told her that she would never see again, but because of strong will and determination, Debra Winger was able to do so. When she recovered, Debra Winger then moved to California and sought for an acting career.

She began her acting career in the 1976 sexploitation film entitled Slumber Party ’57. She then became part of the TV series Wonder Woman as Drusilla (Wonder Girl). In 1980, Debra Winger starred opposite John Travolta in the movie Urban Cowboy wherein she earned a BAFTA award nomination. This was followed by Cannery Row in 1982, with Nick Nolte. In the same year, she shared the big screen with Richard Gere in An Officer and a Gentleman, and in 1986 she appeared in Legal Eagles with Daryl Hannah and Robert Redford. Her voice was also used in ET in 1982.

Debra Winger, although hot and alluring, is known to be one of the most difficult Hollywood actresses to work with. Her acting credits however, consistently achieved critical acclaim. Her performances in Terms of Endearment and Shadowlands earned Academy Award nominations for Best Actress in 1983 and 1993. When she turned 40 in 1995, Debra Winger took a rest from the show business and spent her time teaching at Harvard University.
